Setting up your notebook

Lab Notebook Instructions

To create a lab notebook entry:

Login
Select “+ NEW” and “Post”
Title your post “S23 – Last, First Name”
Set post visibility to “Private”

We suggest that you draft your content off-line in a text file and then copy and paste into the on-line notebook so that you don’t lose any work if the internet connectivity goes down.

Your entire lab notebook for the semester will be recorded into this single post, so you’ll need to keep your content tightly organized to make it easy to navigate and interpret. Note that you can format sections headers using the menu bar (see image).

Headers and Formatting

First entry: By Friday midnight, please create your notebook post and write a draft research question you think we can address with the study system we have in place.
